When you see a photo with written graphics, or read an article, and it is so outrageous that you say to yourself “this cannot be true”, in most cases, it probably isn’t. (Unless it is a quote from Michelle Bachman or Sarah Palin.)
Some folks jump to conclusions and get very angry or upset over some of these “advertisements” put out by those with an agenda.
This sign, which was posted on my facebook wall by a lovely lady, I cannot believe to be real.
First of all, what is written on the sign is ridiculous. And secondly, you can tell it has been photoshopped by the size of the letters, and how it fits on the actual sign. It wasn’t even a good photoshop job. (I will make sure NOT to use this photo with the headline when I post it.)
What bothers me is, most people assume what they see is true on the internet. But what bothers me more is that the left, which is me – my side, does not need to conjure up such crap to make our point. There is plenty of lunatic evidence to support our stand on gun control, for example.
So either someone on the left was doing this as a joke, (and if so, it should be prefixed as such), or someone on the far left was sensationalizing to get a reaction, which I find unnecessary, and as low as the far right. We do not need to stoop as they do. Or lastly, it was concocted by someone on the right as a set up.
Let us not forget the victims of gun violence, especially the children. Just because Sandy Hook is no longer sexy in the News, I have not forgotten, and still morn. Imagine what the families are feeling. Let’s not give up the fight for gun control. But let’s also control our reactions to the internet.
P.S. If I am wrong and this is real – I need a stronger prescription for my reading glasses. And I gun to shoot myself in the head!
