Okay, so Obama messed up royally. It seems his “energy” on Solyndra was not well spent, and neither was the $535 million dollars of government money. And the facts are still unfolding. It’s a bummer.
This was not a good investment. Republicans are making a big stink about wasting potential tax dollars. As they should.
But how about this investment? 6.8 BILLION DOLLARS. Afghanistan. That is what the U.S. Government spends every MONTH to be there.
What kind of return are we getting on war? Dead people? Why are the Republicans not making as big of a stink about that? And the rest of Washington? And the rest of the citizens of the United States?
I am officially making a stink.
For what we spend on one month in Afghanistan, NASA could build a telescope to boldly go where no man has gone before!
Oh. I get it. If we can see that, we can see more evidence that the Universe wasn’t “created” in 6 days. What is the point of that? Jeez. Certainly a bad investment.
But my point is…
Is trying to go green, or learning more about our Universe a worse investment than destroying it?

It kind of relates to the topic.)
